Ordinance 3776 (10/06/2025): An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Missoula amending section 10.54.140 A(3) of the Missoula Municipal Code (MMC) entitled Penalties -- Parking Violations, to allow for an increase in penalties for disabled parking violations. (Effective November 5, 2025)

Ordinance 3775 (10/06/2025): An ordinance of the Missoula City Council Amending Title 2, Chapter 2.80, Section 2.80.030 Regarding Continuous Residency Requirement for Fire Department. (Effective November 5, 2025)

Ordinance 3774 (8/25/2025): An ordinance of the Missoula City Council amending Missoula Municipal Code Title 8, Section 8.02.020 entitled “Missoula City-County Health Code Adopted by Reference” to adopt Regulation 1 “Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Systems” as approved by the Missoula City-County Health Board. (Effective September 24, 2025)

Ordinance 3772 (6/2/2025): An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Missoula amending section 10.54.140 of the Missoula Municipal Code (MMC) entitled Penalties -- Parking Violations to allow for an increase in penalties for parking violations and amending section 10.22.260 of the MMC entitled Limitations on Parking in Residential Parking Permit Only Area to increase penalties for parking violations in the residential parking area. (Effective January 1, 2026)

Ordinance 3769 (3/24/2025) and Ordinance 3723 (10/16/2023): Interim urgency zoning measure, pursuant to State Law Section 76-2-307 MCA, amending Title 20, Missoula City Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 20.01 Introductory Provisions, Chapter 20.05 Residential Districts, Chapter 20.10 Business and Commercial Districts, Chapter 20.15 Industrial and Manufacturing Districts, Chapter 20.20 Open Space, Public, and Aviation Districts, Chapter 20.25 Overlay Districts, Chapter 20.40 Use- and Building-Specific Standards, Chapter 20.45 Accessory Uses and Structures, Chapter 20.60 Parking and Access, Chapter 20.65 Landscaping, Chapter 20.75 Signs, Chapter 20.85 Review and Approval Procedures, Chapter 20.90 Administration, Chapter 20.100 Terminology, and Chapter 20.105 Use Classifications to incorporate regulations concerning legislative changes to state land use regulations to align with changes mandated by the State of Montana with effective dates that occur before or on October 1, 2023.

Ordinance 3720 (6/5/2023): An emergency ordinance of the Missoula City Council amending Chapter 12.40, Sections 12.40.010, to come into compliance with the Ninth Circuit decision in Martin v. City of Boise by clarifying that not all City lands are closed to overnight camping or sleeping and declaring an emergency to protect public health, safety, and welfare.

Ordinance 3719 (5/15/2023): An ordinance that extends for one year, Ordinance 3705, an interim urgency zoning measure amending Title 20, Missoula City Zoning Ordinance Section 20.05 Residential Districts, Section 20.10 Business and Commercial Districts, Section 20.15 Industrial and Manufacturing Districts, and Section 20.20 Open Space, Public, and Aviation Districts, prohibiting the application of the conditional use process to certain use categories. The extension of this interim zoning ordinance shall be applicable to specific uses in Title 20 and be effective for one year commencing May 15, during which time the city council will contemplate permanent zoning ordinance amendments to Title 20, Missoula City Zoning ordinance.

Ordinance 3667 (9/21/2020) An ordinance amending Title 20 Section 20.25 of the Missoula Municipal Code to establish the /NC-HL Heron’s Landing Neighborhood Character Overlay District and to rezone two parcels of approximately 72.11 acres from RT5.4 Residential to RT 5.4 Residential /NC-HL Heron’s Landing Neighborhood Character Overlay District.

Ordinance 3668 (10/19/2020) An ordinance amending Title 20 Section 20.25 of the Missoula Municipal Code to establish the /NC-RF Remington Flats Neighborhood Character Overlay District and to rezone one parcel of approximately 20.01 acres from RT5.4 Residential to RT 5.4 Residential /NC-RF Remington Flats Neighborhood Character Overlay District.

Resolution 8732 (10/16/2023): Amendments to the Missoula City Subdivision Regulations, incorporating applicable State Legislative Changes from the 2023 legislative session along with limited necessary amendments not specifically related to State land use legislation.

Resolution 8607 (7/18/2022): Amendments to the Missoula City Subdivision Regulations, incorporating applicable State Legislative Changes from the 2017, 2019, and 2021 legislative sessions along with limited clarifying amendments based on consideration of the review criteria.
