Three Ways to Schedule an Inspection

1. Call (406) 552-6040
2. Follow the prompts to provide the permit number and inspection code you are scheduling. 
   • To schedule an inspection, press [1]
   • To cancel or reschedule an inspection, press [2]
   • To obtain inspection results, press [3]
   • To speak to department staff (available during normal business hours), press [0]
3. Type the permit number, using the numbers associate with the alpha characters, for example: 2020MSSRES00001
4. Confirm the site address stated is correct
5. Follow the prompts to enter the inspection code (listed below)
6. Provide a phone number to be reached at for the inspection

Note - Inspections scheduled using the Call (IVR) system do not allow you to leave comments for the inspection time preferred or on-site contact person. The Text and Online Portal allow comments when scheduling inspections.

1. Login to the Missoula Citizen Permit & Licensing Portal
2. Select My Records
3. Select the Permit Number (in red text) 
4. Select Record Info
5. Select Inspections
6. Select Schedule/Request an Inspection
7. Follow the prompts to select the inspection type
8. Specify the Date and Time preferred
9. Confirm the Contact Information
10. Include Additional Notes such as how to access the property or area, request a 30 minute warning before the inspector arrives, or provide contact information for the on-site person/homeowner
