Playfair Park and McCormick Park host 33,000 swims per year.Revenue generated per year is approximately
$63,000. Operational costs each year are $125,000 per year and growing due to
the age of the facilities and their inability to host more swimmers.On many hot summer days, the pools fill to
capacity.
Swimming and water play, is
second to walking, in the way citizens play.Comfort and skills in around water lead to a lifetime of leisure
opportunities and wellness.
