Teen Workreation

Teens: Gain valuable work experience, have a blast and work outdoors...while volunteering with Parks and Recreation!

Teen Workreation Application

Teens, ages 12 to 14, can volunteer with Parks and Recreation to work with kids in their neighborhood parks, at Splash Montana, and on City Conservation Lands. If you are interested in getting on-the-job training in the Parks and Recreation field, we may have a volunteer position for you.

Work with Parks and Recreation Staff as a:

Jr. Camp Counselor • Jr. Lifeguard* • Jr. Conservation Steward

*Jr. Lifeguards can begin at age 12 after completing American Red Cross training programs offered at Splash Montana.

We know teens are busy in the summer. You may choose in advance the number of hours you’d like to volunteer per week, plus we’ll do our best to schedule your volunteer hours on the days and times that work for you.

Teen volunteers are individuals serving of their own accord, gaining valuable job experience, and making new friends.

Teen Workreators will receive valuable training like CPR and lifeguarding, plus earn great job experience. And don't miss the season-end river float to celebrate a great summer!
