THE MAYORAL CANDIDATE FORUM HAS BEEN CANCELLED 

Cancelation of Missoula Mayoral Candidate Forum 

Previously scheduled for October 21 

The Missoula Office of Neighborhoods and the League of Women Voters Missoula have cancelled the Mayoral Candidate Forum set for the evening of Tuesday October 21, 2025.  Candidates for Missoula Mayor are Andrea Davis and Shawn Knopp.  Due to an unforeseen circumstance, Shawn Knopp is unable to participate.  Guidance from the nonpartisan League of Women Voters United States recommends that a forum or debate be canceled if only one candidate can be present. 

Since this forum was scheduled late in the election cycle, it will not be rescheduled.   Information about these candidates is available at the nonpartisan online voter guide, VOTE411.org.

City of Missoula City Council & Mayoral Candidate Forums

The City of Missoula Office of Neighborhoods and the League of Women voters of Missoula are holding a series of in-person and livestreamed City Council and Mayoral Candidate Forums.

Through these forums, Missoula neighbors will have an opportunity to hear candidates respond to questions about issues that are important to the community. The Candidate Forum will follow the non-partisan, unbiased and impartial format established by the League of Women Voters.  League members will moderate and time-keep, and the League will screen questions submitted by the public for duplication and appropriateness. 

The forums will be in-person from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Missoula City Council Chambers, 140 W. Pine and will be broadcast virtually on the Missoula Community Access Television’s Facebook page. The forums will be open to the public. Attendees must remain quiet (no applause or cheering), and no campaign buttons, posters, or any other political signage is allowed, including on clothing.

Questions may be submitted in advance via email to contact@missoula-neighborhoods.org or via the online form (https://forms.office.com/g/ZK700bbaV4), by noon the day of the event and, in-person, at the beginning of each forum. Questions related to city-wide or ward specific issues are preferred. Candidates will be asked as many questions as the time allows and each candidate will have prepared opening and closing statements.
